[VAW 2023] Workshop on Commercial Mediation – An effective dispute resolution option

On 11/05/2023, within the framework of VAW 2023, a workshop on “Commercial Mediation – An effective dispute resolution option: Towards International Integration” organized by Vietnam International Arbitration Center (VIAC) and Vietnam Mediation Center (VMC) took place in Hanoi.

The workshop gathered many experts, lawyers, and researchers in commercial mediation. Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Minh Hang – General Secretary of Vietnam International Commercial Mediation Center (VICMC), Senior Lecturer of Foreign Trade University was the keynote speaker at session 1 of the workshop with the topic “Training on commercial mediation in Vietnam”.

In her presentation, Ms. Nguyen Minh Hang gave an overview of commercial mediation training in Vietnam at law training institutions, and mediation centers, especially in training activities on commercial mediation conducted by VICMC and mediators over the past 4 years…

In recent years, many training courses on mediation have been organized with the aim of raising awareness about the benefits of mediation, professional mediation models, methods for the business community, and legal profession practitioners, and enhancing the ability of Vietnam mediators.

Besides commercial mediation activities, VICMC also pays great attention to training activities on conflict management, risk prevention, and dispute resolution by negotiation and mediation. Regular training activities of VICMC are updated at the website: http://www.vicmc.vn/.
