About VICMC’s online mediation service
As the first commercial mediation center licensed by the Ministry of Justice on December 20, 2018, the Vietnam International Commercial Mediation Center (VICMC) was quickly put into operation to give the business community an additional alternative dispute resolution. In addition to conducting commercial mediation, VICMC also focuses on providing mediation training activities.
In the context of the complicated development of the Covid-19 pandemic, in order to support the parties who wish to mediate disputes safely, effectively, and economically, VICMC has announced the implementation of the Online Mediation Service.
About submitting an online Request for Mediation and providing personal information
When you fill out the Online Mediation Request, we only ask you to provide the required information about the Company Name, and Email. Other information and data (business information; description and value of the dispute, requirements related to the dispute; time limit, language, location, fee calculation; mediator; attachments) ) may be required but not required. Providing enough information will help us support and process your online Request for Mediation more smoothly.
By accepting the submission of an online Mediation Request, you consent to our collection, storage, and processing of your personal data in accordance with the provisions set forth herein and relevant laws.
About the Online Mediation procedure
After filling in the information in the Online Request for Mediation form and pressing “Send Request”, your Online Mediation Request will be received and resolved by VICMC in accordance with VICMC’s Mediation Rules. You should carefully read the Mediation Rules, and the Mediation Schedule of fee as publicly and clearly posted on our website. About the purpose of personal information
The main data collection on the website: https://vicmc.vn/ includes: Full name or Company name, Email. This is the mandatory information that VICMC needs you to provide so that we can promptly contact you to confirm when you register to use the Online Mediation service on the Website.
In addition, to expedite your dispute resolution through online mediation, we may be provided with other (optional) information related to your dispute. We store this information for your dispute resolution purposes. Your personal information as well as data and documents about your dispute will be stored by us permanently or for a shorter time as prescribed by law from time to time.
We will not provide your personal information to any third party except as necessary and with your consent, or where required by law.
Your personal information will be securely collected, stored, and processed by us. Only the secretariat, mediator involved, or personnel in conditions of limited access to access data. We follow industry and legal standards in the protection of personal information and data.
In the event that the information server is attacked by a hacker leading to the loss of your personal data or documents, we will be responsible for reporting the incident to the authorities for timely investigation and handling and notify you to carry out your responsibilities under the law.
