VICMC – UNCITRAL Asia Pacific Day 19/9

Ngày 19/11, các Hòa giải viên VICMC đã tham gia và trình bày trong sự kiện “Uncitral Asia Pacific Day” tại Đại học Kinh tế – Luật, Đại học Quốc gia TP Hồ Chí Minh. Đây là sự kiện đầu tiên được tổ chức tại Việt Nam do UNICITRAL (Ủy ban Liên Hợp Quốc về Luật Thương mại quốc tế) phối hợp cùng VICMC và Đại học Kinh tế – Luật tổ chức nhằm cung cấp kiến thức về trọng tài quốc tế và hòa giải thương mại, đặc biệt là về các công ước quốc tế do UNCITRAL khởi xướng.

Hoà giải (hay trọng tài) đều được gọi là phương thức ADR- alternative disputes settlement, là phương thức giải quyết tranh chấp thay thế (thay cho tòa án). Trong đó, tại phiên chiều “UNCITRAL Asia Pacific Day”, các hòa giải viên của VICMC gồm có: LS Lương Văn Lý – Ủy viên điều hành VICMC; LS Nguyễn Ngọc Duy Mỹ (đồng thời là cộng sự cao cấp Công ty Luật TNHH Trilaw) và Ông Đoàn Ngọc Thông (đồng thời là trưởng phòng Hội viên và Đào tạo VCCI TP.HCM) đã chia sẻ các nội dung về những cơ hội và thách thức đặt ra từ khung pháp lý về Hòa giải thương mại tại Việt Nam; Các nguyên tắc của Hòa giải Thương mại và các kỹ năng của một hòa giải viên thương mại; Đặc biệt, LS Lương Văn Lý đã trình bày những triển vọng của hòa giải trong bối cảnh của Công ước Singapore về Hòa giải vừa được kí kết trong tháng 8/2019.

Đây có thể được coi là một hoạt động phổ biến những kiến thức về hòa giải đầu tiên trong khuôn khổ các sự kiện của UNCITRAL tại Việt Nam. Hy vọng, những chia sẻ của các Hòa giải viên VICMC đã phần nào giới thiệu được tinh thần của Hòa giải tới những người tham gia.
