MEDIATOR OF VIETNAM INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL MEDIATION CENTER PARTICIPATED IN TEACHING AND SUPPORTING IN PRACTICE SECTION OF V-LEX CLASS OF FOREIGN TRADE UNIVERSITY

On September 24, 2025, within the framework of the International Business Law training program following the career orientation model (VLEX) of Foreign Trade University, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Minh Hang – General Secretary of Vietnam International Commercial Mediation Center (VICMC); Head of Organization – Human Resources Department of Foreign Trade University and Lawyer. Duong Quoc Thanh – Lecturer of Vietnam Mediation Center (VMC); Managing Lawyer of ALV LAWYERS participated in exchanging experiences and evaluating the practice part on commercial mediation for students.

During the practice session, V-LEX students participated in role-playing practical situations related to the topic of wind power project construction contract disputes – situations developed by VICMC mediators. With the goal of the V-LEX training program being closely linked to practice and having a high level of international integration, the participation of Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Minh Hang and Lawyer Duong Quoc Thanh was an opportunity for students to be evaluated and commented on the necessary skills of mediators and lawyers when participating in a mediation session. Accordingly, students were instructed on how to ask questions, how to exploit information and guided on the time management process – an extremely necessary skill for mediators.

At the end of the practice session, in addition to comments from the two experts, students also had time to draw experience from the points they had done and the points they had not done when participating in the mediation practice. This supports the learning process as well as summarizes your knowledge and experience.
