Recently, the Vietnam Labor Law Conference 2024 was held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with the theme “Maintaining sustainable labor relations in global instability”.

VICMC MEDIATORS ATTENDED THE VIETNAM LABOR LAW CONFERENCE 2024

VICMC mediators were honored to participate in the Conference as speakers presenting on different topics, bringing practical experience in resolving issues and disputes arising in the field of labor for human resources experts, managers, consultants, legal experts, lawyers… that attended the Conference.

At the Conference, Associate Professor, PhD. Nguyen Minh Hang – General Secretary of VICMC shared about alternative methods of resolving labor disputes outside of the Court – a topic that is of interest to many businesses. Accordingly, when resolving disputes through negotiation and mediation, it is necessary to have communication skills, negotiation skills, persuasion skills or skills to exploit information, promote negotiations and remove deadlocks… With expertise in mediation and arbitration, Associate Professor, PhD. Nguyen Minh Hang gave useful advice and mistakes to avoid when resolving disputes applicable to a variety of business sizes.

Besides, Lawyer Le Trong Them – VICMC mediator participating in the conference as a coordinator had brought professional perspectives on the issue of dialogue in dispute resolution through a mock dialogue session; Lawyer Khuat Van Trung – VICMC mediator presented an overall analysis of the Labor Law 2024 amendments and the impact on businesses. Thereby, the Conference attendees gain more knowledge about current regulations as well as dialogue skills between workers, unions and HR.

The sharing of VICMC mediators had brought professional mediation skills to the HR community; therefore, HR personnel can prevent and early resolve labor conflicts at businesses, or in other words, every HR personnel becomes an internal mediator of the business/company.

The 2024 Labor Law Conference is an opportunity for attendees to approach real-life situations and learn how to solve difficult legal issues encountered in daily work at businesses. In addition, this event also provides an opportunity to connect between experts and businesses in the field of labor, while also finding new partners, customers and associates in the industry.
